The Sweetest Lie.
He holds her hand in his.
“I love you” He whispers.
She knows this is a lie.
Yet, she clings to the false hope.
That his words provide.
The pain can come later.
For now, let her enjoy the moment.

Last goodbye
A last goodbye,
Whispered softly into deaf ears.
Once so alive,
She lies, wounded by cupids arrow.
Her blood taints the pure, white snow.

Beauty in the Melody
Let the beauty flow from your lips.
Once gently pressed against mine.
The sweet melody,
Let me hear it one last time.

Forever Lost
The young woman.
Broken and lost.
Pathetic.
Relying on love to live.
The young man.
Guilty.
“It’s not my fault!” He screams to the sky.
She’s gone. Flatlined.
Trapped in darkness.
Tears run down his face.
He holds her limp form close.
Her skin. Cold.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
His tears fall.
He wipes them from her face.
White as porcelain.
Lips press lightly against her cheek.
Memories flow.
“Did I do this to you?” He whispers.
Silence, as though waiting for a reply.
None came.
Crimson blood stains their clothes.
He carries her to the roses.
Places her on the ground.
One last tear.
One last kiss.
One last I love you.
He walks away slowly.
There lies the body of his best friend.
Lost forever.
